What I liked
the consultant was professional and I think he did a good job, grateful to him. Most nurses were friendly and caring.
What could be improved
some of the nursing staff not very caring or supportive. When you have a major operation you feel vulnerable and frightened. I understand there were not enough staff but the buzzer at bedside was ignored for long periods. The food was tasteless and not very appetizing
Anything else?
when I returned home my wound broke down so I went to local hospital. no one arranged for district nurses to attend me and my daughter had to phone around to instigate this as I spent on two occasions 6 hours wait in A and E which was not satisfactory a week after a major op
"I wouldn't want to do it again"
