"I went to the eye unit for a minor..."

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

What I liked

I went to the eye unit for a minor operation and was advised it could take up to 90 minutes, however I was out in 30 minutes from the time of my appointment. I arrived early on the day in November and was met with a very clean waiting room and the staff were very friendly. My appointment was at 2pm and that is when I was called in by a member of the unit, and I can not praise all members enough for their professionalism and friendliness during my time especially as I was a little nervous! The doctor filled me with confidence with their demeanor and making me feel that they cared about me by explaining everything in plain english about the procedure. I hardly knew what they was doing as they have such a light touch and the operation was over without me feeling anything. If only all surgeons were like this then the complaint rate would nosedive! So again thank you to the surgeon and all the members of the outpatient eye unit.

What could be improved

Nothing, and I never thought I would say that!

Anything else?

Please pass this onto the the eye unit for me as we all need to know we are appreciated.
