"Short wait before I was treated"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

What I liked

Short wait before I was treated

What could be improved

My treatment

Anything else?

I visited A&E with an injured foot after a fall. I was not x-rayed and was told I had tendon damage and there would be no treatment and I should do excercises to help recovery. I was referred to physio. I attended two physio sessions, at the second session the therapist decided i should have an xray (this was three weeks after my original visit) The xray showed a fracture. I had been excercising a fractured foot for three weeks - no wonder I was in so much pain. I had a cast on for two more weeks which was removed at the fracture clinic. A new cast was put on after consultation with a doctor ( didnt get introduced so dont know his name) I had to return to clinic next day because the cast was poorly fitted and was causing more pain than the injury. A different Doctor advised cast should be removed and just leave tubgrip on. I am still experiencing pain and discomfort seven weeks after my fall. I would not attend Royal Oldham A&E again, as I found my treatment fell short of satisfactory.
