What I liked
My father was recently a patient at this hospital. He was transferred from Blyth Community Hospital on 2 October and sadly passed away on 4 October.
I would like to express my gratitude for the highest level of care and consideration shown by all the staff at the hospital and in particular the staff on the Medical Admissions Unit. From the moment he arrived and all during his illness he was treated with the utmost respect and we, his family were in no doubt that all that could be done was done with the highest level of professionalism and sensitivity.
The use of the Oasis room during this extremely stressful time was very important as we were reluctant to leave and yet needed space and facilities to rest. This room is a tremendous facility for the hospital and allowed us to be together as a family and talk in private and finally to grieve for our loss.
We thank everyone for their kindness.
