What I liked
I attended A&E with my daughter who is pregnant, we received excellent care from start to finish, with all members of staff being very helpfull, two fantastic Dr's who gave my daughter excellent care and advice. Cant thank them enough.
We found all the departments we visited during our stay to be very clean and tidy.
What could be improved
I agree with another comment made on this site, the front entrance is a mess with lots of cigarette buts all over the floor, every person who walks through this entrance has to breath in this smoke from all the paitients and staff who stand there, whether they like it or not, as it is the hospitals main entrance.
It was wet and cold yet patients in nightwear stood in the door way holding the sliding doors open to have a smoke, one was inside the doors, as there were people on both sides of the door we had to walk through a cloud of smoke, which is not acceptable at all, while we waited for a taxi even a security guard joined them!
There are clear signs everywhere NO SMOKING inside the hospital or in the grounds why is this allowed to continue?
Anything else?
We wittnesed staff at the booking in window being harrassed for asking questions of a paitient booking in, how can people be so rude when they are asking for help because they are ill. I think the staff would be safer with some security in place.
