What I liked

I was refered to the One Stop Breast Clinic by my GP. My appointment was on time & from the outset the staff were helpful, friendly & compassionate. Some of the procedures are not pleasent, but essential. These were made bearable by supportive nurses, 2 fantastic consultants/doctors, radiographers to name but a few. Everything was explained clearly, and time was taken for me to ask questions without feeling pressured to get on with it! The whole process took around 90 minutes from start to finish & I probably only waited for around 15 minutes at the most between procedures for results to be processed etc. My results were processed there & then so I had no need to go home & wait.

I can't thank them enough, for making a worrying process much easier as a result of the teams excellent care. What a fantastic team & an asset to Burnley General.

Anything else?

I had some concerns about a hospital referal after a not too enjoyable experience at Blackburn Royal. These were completely unfounded. I will happily recommended my local hospital & their Breast Clinic team, and now have no concerns about going back for my 3 month check up!
