The pre op consultation with the anaethetist and surgeon who explained all the procedures in simple terms.

The nurses were caring and professional

The liaison between the ward and the x ray dept / doctor

I was told by the consultant on the morning after my operation that I could go home later that day once I had been x rayed and a doctor had checked the x ray...until then everything had run smoothly.I sat and waited from 10 am to 8 pm (x ray about mid afternoon) and they seemed to have lost the doctor who should have signed me out...at 8 pm they decided it would be best for me to stay in another night as the doctor was too busy in A&E..this took the gloss off what until then had been a reasonably happy experience.
