What I liked

In these days of everyone knocking the NHS and hospitals in particular I really feel I must redress the balance with my own experience.

Last month I was admitted to the Surgical Day Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital for my hernia repair surgery and can only describe the experience as nothing short of exemplary in all respects.

From the moment I arrived I was treated with the utmost respect and care. I was checked in on arival to a spotlessly clean room where I was checked for MRSA and c.diff by a nurse who then passed me to the ward sister who looked after me for the rest of my stay, keeping me advised at all times and regularly checking on my well-being.

I am now well on the way to a complete recovery and have hardly needed the pain relief medication I was given on discharge. I would therefore commend the whole team and would thoroughly recommend North Tyneside to anyone.
