"5.01am, no meds, waiting for Crisis Team to call back"

About: North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

Since my previous post, I have become much more distressed and am really feeling my lack of meds. I appreciate this website is not a forum or journal but I have tried to ring the Crisis Resolution Team at Leigh.

I waited several minutes and the phone line just rang out - this is unacceptable - a caller to this service may be suicidal and just be greeted with a 'beep' tone! The second time I tried I spoke to a someone who sounded very sleepy to me, they advised me they would ring back as they were 'with someone'.

That was half an hour ago and so I find myself heading to bed - unmedicated, upset and very annoyed. Again!

I fear that these services will never change or improve but that's just my opinion.

Good Afternoon Cam,

I am sorry that you were unhappy with the response to your telephone call to our Crisis Team last week. Unfortunately during the hours of 9pm to 9am our Crisis Team has only one practitioner on duty.

If you would like to discuss your concerns in any further detail please do not hesitate to contact me, or our Patient Advice and Liaison Services.
