About: New Cross Hospital

What I liked

It's always warm inside the hospital.

What could be improved

I have been a patient at this hospital. Just to let you know the nursing staff are extremely inexperienced and are not trained in things like taking blood and catheterising patients. The doctors spend all their time doing these things and never once have the time to think about the patient's disease and how they can manage it properly.

The hospital management itself doesn't care about treating patients, only to reach their targets for infection control and DVT prevention - we all understand these are important but you should also try to cure the patient, otherwise what's the point of coming into hospital in the first place?

Also things take twice as long to happen as they should. Tests that should be performed the same day are sometimes delayed for a week. If you get admitted, don't expect to go home anytime soon (and if you do, then question this because you probably haven't had all the necessary tests: your doctors have given up waiting!)
