"From the moment myself and my wife..."

About: Tiverton & District Hospital

What I liked

From the moment myself and my wife walked in we were treated in a very friendly and efficient way. The member of staff on reception showed us to the waiting room as we were the first in at 8am. He ensured we were not left 'just sitting' and went to let the staff now we were there. The nurse who attended me stayed with me throughout the procedure and I was made to feel I was 'the only one'.

She explained fully what would happen and made sure I understood each step of the process and what would be happening. She attended to me throughout the procedure and the other two nurses in attendance were equally efficient and friendly. The consultant was warm and very personable whilst excluding confidence and calmness.

After the procedure I was again not left alone but was constantly checked to ensure all was fine. I had a freshly made drink and sandwich before being allowed to leave.

The ward was very clean, open and airy. It smelt fresh and was calming in appearance. I can not thank all of the staff enough for my brief stay and just to say that the staff are a compliment to the Matron who must be very proud of them and their Hospital.

What could be improved

Nothing
