What could be improved

I would just like to express my disappointment with the recent service i recieved from this hospital. I was due to be admitted for a hysterectomy on the 29th of september,after arranging child care etc i rang to confirm my bed space to be told i was meant to have been admitted the day before and could not have operation. The letter i recieved stated the 29th not the 28th and as a result i could have to wait up to 18 weeks for another date. I have repeatedly rang the hospital to see if they can give me an idea of when but have not had a satisfactory reply. So to summerise my life is on hold for the next 18weeks at the most or until i recieve my date. i think this is unfair and inconvenient and unsatisfactory. Up until this incident i have had no problems with your service but the lack of communication between your department must be improved to prevent these things happening again.
