"I attended A & E in April with bleeding..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

What I liked

I attended A & E in April with bleeding in pregnancy. The staff informed me that there would be a wait, however, i was then seen immidiately. The dr told me that I was having a miscarrige. All the staff were very kind and attentive.

I was later transfered to the ward where I spent 4 days and eventually had an operation. i could not fault the staff, they were kind, considerate and caring at all times. They were quiet at night and made sure that I was very well looked after.

The amazing staff made this whole experience bearable, and I would like to thank each and every person who took care of me. You are all wonderful and a credit to your professions.

What could be improved

Not a single thing

While truly saddened by hearing about the circumstances that led you to the QEII last April, we were also pleased to learn about how well cared for you felt whilst in hospital. Getting not just the treatment right, but the human bit too, can be challenging at times - but it sounds like the QEII team got it spot on. We know that they will be pleased to read your kind words, which we will make sure happens. In the meantime, we wish you well for the future.
