What I liked
The second widwife - that is all
What could be improved
the midwifes could care more about their job, and the people they are supposed to be looking after, the record keeping, communication, waiting times, customer care
Anything else?
I was referred to the conquest hospital at 9 mnths pregnant via my doctor surgery as the midwife said my blood pressure was too high and my bump was tiny. That evening my blood pressure was taken and it continued to rise dangerously high. I was told me and my child were in danger, given blood pressure tablets and was told it was insisted i had to go back the next evening to have my baby induced. I was terrified the whole next day knowing i had to give birth my partner and my mother took me to the hospital as i was booked in at 8pm when i arrived at the ward I gave the secretary my name and THEY said, "What are you doing here?" I said i was told it was urgent i had my baby induced and they said i should have rang first, even though they made the appointment i was told to urinate in a pot and it would be collected. We were waiting with the pot of urine for roughly 45 mins until they collected it. I then got a midwife who induced me they did so and then said my partner and my mother had to leave as i wouldnt be in labour for six hours minimum and it was gone tenpm, i begged if one of them could stay with me and was told no, i then asked if i could go home and wait as i was terrified and wanted someone to support me I was told no again. i went to bed and the midwife left. I woke up in awful pain my contractions were extremely painful and close together, i told the ward secretary who said someone will be with you in a minute. I waited in labour for roughly fifteen minutes until my midwife arrived. I asked to call my mum or partner. The midwife said no to this and said my contractions werent bad enough. They then monitored my contractions, and said "oh you are far gone" and moved me to delivery ward, then phoned my mum. 5 hours later i was about to start pushing the baby out, and the midwife left! I was on gas and air and was confused and frightened to see a completely different person at the end of my bed! after everything when i left they didnt ven ask how me and the baby were getting home
