What could be improved
Comunication with patient. Checks in casualty very derisory, asked if lost conciousness when admitted alone by ambulance following crashing fall from height. Limb fracture xrayed and sent home with painkillers. Followup after few days, then 2wks. Still unstable fracture and no contact from hospital for follow up! Don't mind waiting to see if fracture will heal in its own time but after 2wks no contact and no follow up appt feel rather forgotten. As for the self diagnosed concussion, its clearing , no longer have double vision and nausea/ headache but would of expected more thorough examination whilst in casualty.
Anything else?
Staff generally pleasant but wrong type of sling put on in casualty and along with lack of comunication feel less than confident in ther care.
