"I was in hospital for a mastectomy and i..."

About: Pilgrim Hospital

What I liked

I was in hospital for a mastectomy and i was in eau to start with,i found all the nurses very helpful and kind.On being taken to theatre i was very well looked after by nurses and anethatists. After my operation i was on ward M2 were i found it clean and the nurses where brilliant my consultant came to see me the following morning to have a chat about my operation.Ifound my stay at the Pilgrim hospital was a really good experiance and i cant fault any of the staff.I would also like to thank everyone on The Breast Care unit for all there help and support.Having worked in a hospital for 12yrs i found there is good and not so good staff and i always found at the end of the day i went home feeling good that i Cared that day and it was not just a pay check at the end of month. So come on everyone work together and enjoy your work.It is sooo rewarding.

What could be improved

The only thing i didnt enjoy was the food, the presentation would have made it more appealing, but the cups of tea was good.

Thank you so much for telling us about your time at Pilgrim Hospital and I was very pleased to read about the good experience you had. I am always humbled that patients take the time to leave us comments, especially at a time when they are worried, nervous and vulnerable and with your operaiton I imagine even more so. I am sorry that our reply is so late - having only recently developed our protocols for responding to patient Opinion stories we felt it important to track back through older postings too, hence my late response. please be assured though that even after this time your comments are still valuable to us.
