What I liked
My thanks to the A&E team late Saurday evening 25/9/2010.. After a fall at home
resulting in a head injury were blood loss was a great concern (ambulance staff could not stop it), I was taken to Winchester A&E dept.... was seen and treated with speed and kindness
and this was a Saturday evening in a City environment !!!
Had to have a CT scan in the early hours of Sunday morning... no one was available to review the result so my scan was sent to a consultant at his home via the internet ! ..
Glad to say no major damage was the reply....
Then after some painful stiches I was transferred to a ward for observation (Kemp Walsh), the night duty nurses were very kind and understanding.
Was informed that head wounds bleed a lot, but mine could have been fatal as I live alone.
So, thank you the 999 team, ambulance service and especially Winchester A&E.
Kindest Regards, David
What could be improved
More info about my injury, the treatment carried out and its after care (for me to do) would be good.
