"From being seen in the out-patients..."

What I liked

From being seen in the out-patients department, it was not too over crowded. I was seen within a reasonable time. All staff were friendly and helpful, made me feel at ease.

On the ward, again all the staff were helpful and friendly. My husband was allowed to wait with me whilst i waited for my surgery in the afternoon which helped calm my nerves.

What could be improved

I should have only been a day case but no doctors came round post surgery so the nurse could not let me home, as no TTO's could be done and discharge letter. It created more work for the night staff and i would sooner have gone home as i had a disturbed night, as expected on a busy ward.
