When I finally got to the coronary care unit, I had the most wonderful care and attention. The staff were highly professional and the treatment worked as well which is a bonus. I am still alive :-) My heart now appears to be working a lot better with the 3 stents I now have in my left anterior descending coronary artery. Well done Dr Pitt Lim and his team.
Interventional Cardiology looks to me to be a pocket of excellence (could that be a clinical microsystem). There is another story about my experience of inadequacy in A+E but I think I will leave that for another day.
