"Resource centre weekend closures"

I work for North Staffs Users Group and wish to pass on some concerns from Service Users. A lady who receives services from the Sutherland Centre has told us she was not informed about the weekend closures and only found out about this from another service user and she was very unhappy about the closures as she sometimes needs to speak to a member of staff at weekends if she's not feeling well and this helps her a lot.

Services users who attend the Art Group on a Saturday at the Sutherland Centre are also upset about the closures. This art group is run by the Service Users themselves and gives them something to get up for on a Saturday and it is very important as weekends are the worst time for some service users. They have been told they can have the Art group on a Friday instead but this is not the same as they have nothing to go to now on a Saturday
