These are my personal views,
What I liked? Not a great deal.
Apart from the ambulance staff and nursing staff who really do the best they can with what they have to work with.
Cannot at this stage comment on consultants, therapists etc.
What could be improved
Id be interested in your views and help in understanding the following
Ambulance arrived at York hospital A & E at 21:10 (cannot fault the care and attitudes of the ambulance staff)
Admitted to a bed in A & E, 21:30
Accepted, the ward sister did apologise for the fact they were very busy.
It was either midnight or 1 am, when a doctor came to see my father.
3 - 4 hours for a stoke victim to see a doctor is this acceptable?
Unfortunately, for you guys, my father and mother have both previoulsy been treated in Leeds hospitals for cancer related illness/operations and the care recieved was world class. This world class care, set my expectations for hospital care regardless of location.
Anything else?
The ward sister who came to speak to us was very helpful/knoweledagble.
