"Left to suffer with ascitic fluid after surgery"

About: Sefton PCT

(as the patient),

Sefton PCT authorised surgery to fit a catheter for the removal of ascitic fluid. Many women across the country have had this procedure for the relief of their ascites due to ovarian cancer. The procedure requires that bottles for drainage are supplied regularly to the patient for relief of their symptoms.

However I feel that Sefton PCT are reluctant to provide me with these bottles. Because of a lack of these bottles I have been left with my fluid condition and its associated symptoms. Surely they should not have agreed to the surgery in the knowledge that regular provision of the bottles are required. In my opinion this is highly unprofessional and an example of poor practise.
