" I felt that the service was very thorough"

About: Rotherham PCT / Tissue viability service

(as the patient),

I cut my leg in July and the following day I attended the walk in centre.

I was given two courses of antibiotics and my leg was steri stripped and a dressing applied. The following week I returned and was told to leave it open to heal without a dressing.

In early August I was seen by Tissue Viability - Helen, who gave me a full assessment and applied a dressing and advised me to wear compression stockings.

After being seen by Tissue Viability the wound is now healing. I felt that the service was very thorough.

As part of my role, I support clinical services who undertake patient and public involvement on behalf of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust which helps us to develop or redesign our services with patients in mind, from the valuable feedback we are given.
