"Being treated with dignity, fully..."

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

What I liked

Being treated with dignity, fully informed about the procedure and possible outcomes, in a clean and friendly environment, made for a pleasant experience - almost!

The attention given to the environment - including beautifully tended flowerbeds and aeroplane shaped bushes - makes one feel that the medial attention will be as attentive. Such was the case.

On a practical basis, on the day of the operation, having the timetable explained and kept to, and being able to wait outside in the sunshine, with a pager, helped me to be very calm, with no fear of "missing my slot".

Being screened for possible infection before going to theatre also builds confindence that one is less likely to come out with more than you went in with!
