"2yrs on and I'm still waiting for answers"

About: Heatherwood Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to hospital, unbeknown to us in advanced stage of bowel cancer. He had been under a consultant for 3yrs and had been told time and time again he did not have cancer. He was sent home with imodium. His diarrhoea continued upto 25times a day. He was readmitted when he was in extreme pain 8weeks later, rehydrated and sent home again. 4weeks later he went in for surgery to remove a huge adenoma from his bowel we were assured it was not cancer. We were told the next day cancer had spread all through his abdomen. He died 7mths later...aged 53yrs. The consultant never even came to tell us they sent his registrar, they also never discussed the treatment with us. they made no attempt to explain anything until I lodged a complaint. Nearly 2yrs on and I'm still waiting for answers. I think this is disgusting.
