I attended my appointment 15 minutes late as I was travelling quite a distance to the GP practice. I found the receptionist was so rude, abrupt and aggressive towards me. When I asked could I speak to another person in the surgery I was refused and was forced then to speak to the rude receptionist. I was left feeling really dissatisfied with the service and I have been left no alternative but to write a complaint in an attempt to raise awareness of what I feel is the positional power that some GP receptionists think they have over patients. In my opinion, they hold roles in the best public interest and should not abuse their status.
