What I liked

Apart from having to wait almost 1 hour, the treatment I received (Sigmoidoscopy) was carried out by skilful staff within a pleasant environment - I have experienced Private Care, and this was equal to it without the 'hotel type' waiting areas. The staff more than met my expectations of care. Well done L&D in particular the Endoscopy Department.

What could be improved

Apparantly, several of the patients who arrived at the same time as myself had the identical appointment time. Was this the reason I wasn't seen until almost 60 minutes after my appointment time? Also, a minor point perhaps, but the seating arrangements whilst waiting to 'be called' are far from satisfactory, especially as when the patients arrive they have to 'step over' other waiting patients in order to acivate the bell.

Thank you for your kind comments on the quality of our staff and treatment - high quality care and a good experience for our patients is paramount. There are two simultaneous clinics which is why some patients have the same appointment time. In addition, we also allow for the fact that some patients may not be 'ready' for their treatment on arrival. The waiting room is small and plans are now being sumitted to extend this into a more comfortable area.
