"I was admitted Wednesday evening sent up..."

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

What I liked

I was admitted Wednesday evening sent up from Torquay Hospital with part of my ring finger on ice, (due to sailing accident) i was informed my finger could not be sown back on because of the condition of finger bit. Then i was told i could go home and that my finger would be operated in the next 24/48 hrs (it was aprox 2300 when sent home, accident had happened at approx 1930). The Artery in finger took a lot of pressure and time to stop bleeding, I understand and empathise with the pressure every one is under, my concern is my finger? I have had one big shock and because my finger was not fixed, its Friday and still i am not a priority? will this weighting cause more trauma? effect the healing? . i spoke to the reception and asked to speak to consultant, is any one responsible for my care? have found every one friendly but am getting anxious, keep thinking about open stump.
