"i brought my 8 month old baby to a and e..."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

What could be improved

i brought my 8 month old baby to a and e due to abit of a high temp when we first arrived we was taken to a small room where the nurse checked babys temp and it was normal so we was sent back to waiting room. I didnt under stand why but we waited again for just under 3 hours and was called through we went through but there was nobody waiting and stood there at least 10 mins until someone asked if we had been called. We was then told to wait in this small room which was really hot we waited there another 20 mins until the doctor came baby had been crying since we first arrived and was really stressed. She took temp which was at 39 by then i was even sweting by then and the doctor said she was hot and she would find another room. We was then moved into another room they checked him and said he was fine and we could go after she had sorted the paper work and checked his temp. So we waited again and baby was hungry and tired by then. He wasnt offerd anything to eat the whole time we was there so i got him a custard and had to feed him cold as they said they couldnt heat it up. I went and told the doc we wished to leave as it was 11pm he hadnt eaten since 4pm and there was no cot to lie him down just an adult bed. She then asked me to sign a form to discharge him. So i refuse as we had waited half an hour for her to sort the paper work out which she hadnt done she was stood laughing and talking with the others. She then said could u wait for 5 more mins which we did. The she came back with the sister who became really argry with me as i had refused to discharge him as she said she would sort the paper work so we could leave. She then said if i dont sign it i will be reported to social services. So basicaly i was in the wrong because she wasnt doing her job. If they was so consurned why leave us sat in waiting room 3 hours? That hospital is a joke and i will be reporting them

Anything else?
