What I liked

I am 86 and had a hip replacement on ward 10. The staff were friendly, efficient and caring.There was a good choice of food which was satisfactory. The arrangements for adjustments to my bed, chair, toilet, etc. at my home prior to my discharge were first class as was the intermediate care after discharge.

What could be improved

The 4 visits on succesive days by the intermediate care nurse would have been of more value if spread out over 4 weeks as this would have provided an opportunity to assess progress and discuss any concerns such as the move from 2 crutches to 1, swelling in the foot and leg, the amount of daily exercise, etc.
