I had been bitten by something on a recent trip to London, it hadn't been that bad so I just ignored it. On Saturday morning I woke up to find some of the bits completely swelled up and very scary looking.
I'm not someone to often call the doctors but I decided after looking it up online that I should contact someone. I phoned NHS 24 and they got a doctor to call me back within 20 minutes.
I was told to either go to the surgery or get some anti hystemines, but to be safe I decided to drop into the out of hours GP practice at Glasgow's Western hospital.
I was seen straight away, and the nurse who saw me was fantastic. Very friendly, informative and made sure I was ok.
I'd just like to thank NHS 24 and the doctor and nurse who saw me for making it an easy, not frightening and speedy experience.
"Quick and lovely experience"
