"A positive experience"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I had to attend Lincoln County hospital colonoscopy clinic to have a small polyp removed. The staff whom I saw were lovely, and made me feel at ease, and the Dr who carried out the procedure explained to me what she was going to do, and treated me with respect and dignity.

What I thought was going to be a horrendous experience turned out to be a positive one.

I was pleased to read your comments - a colonoscopy is never a pleasant experience and is always a difficult one to maintain dignity and ease embarrassment - I am glad the staff achieved this for you.

Although we are reading this a long time after you posted it (we are currently looking back over older postings now that we have started to review Patient Opinion stories regularly as we recognise that there is always something to learn and appreciate from them) please be assured that I have still shared it with the teams.

Thank you again.
