"Concern regarding post-op procedure at Nottingham QMC"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Cardiology

(as the patient),

After my coronary angioplasty, I was told that this tube in my groin could be taken out after 2 hours. I was back on the ward at 3pm so in theory this tube could have been removed by 5pm. I asked if it could be taken out and I was told yes, as my blood clotting was ok. I asked several times to have this tube removed, and finally at 8.20pm this was done. I had to lay flat for all this time. I feel that if the tube had been taken out earlier, then my recovery would have been speedier.

Thank you anyway, though, to all nursing staff on ward C53 at Queen's Medical Centre.
