"I was an outpatient in the sexual ..."

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

What I liked

I was an outpatient in the sexual health clinic for about 18 month, after a relative recommended it to me. On each visit I was treated with great care, both physically and psychologically. My symptoms got gradually better and the consultants were prepared to see me for as long as I felt it was necessary. The doctors treat the nurses with respect. I also got the best advice on an unrelated skin condition that I have and that has now also disappeared. The receptionist also is most helpful and kind. Previously I had been asking my GP for help but did not get any consideration there; I was quite desparate. Hopefully this unit will always be there for all who need it.

What could be improved

a telephone number for changing appoinments should be printed on the appointment card, and it would be the icing on the cake if the cafe did provide a gluten free snack, such as Eat Natural bar.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send in your feedback. We are glad you had a positive experience using the sexual health service at Barts, and your comments have been passed onto the senior nurses within the service to disseminate amongst their team. They will also be able to consider your two suggestions, which are very helpful.

If you have any other comments about the service, please do feel free to speak to the staff directly if you visit the clinic again, as they will be very happy to discuss these with you in person.
