What I liked
Hospital was cleen, One nurse was very nice and helpful and the doctor was verry good. When i finaly got to see him.
What could be improved
Was admited to mile end hospital after suffering severe depression, made only worse by the treatment i recived there, was confined to my ward, no telephone services to speak of. My family could not contact me or the doctor incharge of the ward, Nurses failed on 3 occasions to get a doctor to talk to me. When I made my decision that I wanted to leave nurses ignored me and declined to let me leave the ward. i was kept for 36 hours affter this point to see a doctor who said i could go home to my parents. This is much longer then the leagal limit as i was a voluenteraly admission and was not under section.
Anything else?
Nurses here need lessons in the leagal rights of patients in a mental health ward, especaly as i was voluentery and was kept for over 72 hours wihout seeing a doctor once.
Also due to miss comunication i was given the wrong form of medication for 3 days.
