What I liked

My mother was an inpatient at Seaton hospital and I found all the staff to be competent,kind and helpful. My mother was treated with respect. The room she was in was spacious,airy and pleasant. The equipment used was modern and clean. The food was good. The matron made my mother and I very welcome and gave us confidence in the hospital.

What could be improved

In common with other hospitals I found it hard to get information about my mother's progress in hospital as she is very confused and could not report on her day. If a nurse or physio could make it their business just to give an idea of progress made, or not, that would have been very helpful.

Anything else?

Overall if I had to stay in hospital, it would be the one I would like to stay in.

I would like to thank all the staff who helped in the treatment and care of my mother.
