What I liked

My late late father was in the high dependency unit at Wansbeck after being admitted with complications arising from a broken hip.

Every member of staff involved with his care displayed caring, compassion and professionalism always putting my dads best interests at the forefront of everything they did. Not only that, they could not have been better with my mum and I explaining everything they did. When it was clear he was not going to survive they made sure he died with dignity.

I feel very grateful to all the staff involved in his care, nurses, doctors and support staff. At a time when the NHS is all too often criticised, they should be commended on the work they do.
