What I liked

I have been a patient at this hospital 3 times once around 5 years ago when i was extremely ill with a rare medical condition (which i must say the hospital staff tested me for right away), which was diagnosed streat away on being admitted, all staff in both A&E and on the ward were great, couldn't fault them at all, and twice to have children. My first child was born 2007 and the midwife i had was great very calm, very helpful and made labour very easy and must say not as bad as i was expecting at all, and with my second child i had a c-section which i really was dreading, the nursing staff were great then, they reasurred me and made me feel much better about things, and the midwife even popped her head into my room a day latter to say congrats and see how i was. On every occasion the care i received was great and i couldn't fault it one bit. Would def recommend this hosiptal.

What could be improved

Clinics need to run on time! This is the only fault i have with the hospital is that every appointment i have attended with the endocronology team is at least an hour behind! (i wouldnt mind but on most occasions i have attended i have been the first appointment of the afternoon!) If appointments aren't going to be kept to why bother giving them??

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We always endeavor to keep waiting times to a minimum; however we do sometimes experience delays in the departments due to the complexity of some appointments.

Since March 2010, the clinics have been redesigned to ensure they run on time. We have also appointed a fourth consultant.
