"Had tremendous stomach pains, ..."

About: St. Albans City Hospital

What I liked

Had tremendous stomach pains, and was advised to see the doctor, after being kept waiting for over 40 minutes, the doctor told me I had gastroentiritus, and gave me some pills for IBS,and was told it would go away.. two weeks later the pain came back much worse, so I decided to go to a different hospital, where I was seen immediately, and was hospitalized, with a major gallstone. it turned out to be 4 cm and blocking the neck of the gall bladder.. and because of this serious misdiagnosis had a very bad infection, which took more than a week to settle down.

We wrote a polite letter, explaining that the doctor seriously misdiagnosed, and pointing it out. To this day the hospital has not had the decency to reply.. beware of this place at all costs .. dirty, old fashioned, and extremely dangerous

What could be improved

Educating your doctors , in diagnosis

Anything else?

Building needs knocking down, is this all st albans can offer its ratepayers......... frightening !!
