"The kind nurses in the Urology ward."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

What I liked

The kind nurses in the Urology ward.

What could be improved

The rude nurse in the ward!

I was treated for a UTI infection, now I am only 19! First time in hospital, very scared! When first in and examined, nurse was awful. Very rude, very rushed and didn't ask if I was okay, if I wanted to know what they were doing, if I was comfortable, scared, nothing!

Being in a same sex relationship I was treated in the most awful way. The nurses refused to see my partner as that, and kept insisting we were only friends! She did not stop and ask any questions, treated my partner as if she wasn't in the room! very rude. In that kind of profession, whether you agree with a patients lifesytle choices or not, it should be a profession where you treat everybody the same, no matter how irritating or offensive you find their background to be.

When moved down to another ward, I was treated a lot better by the nurses, they were great down there. Made sure I was okay. Medication staff were rude and rushed, when asking what I was being given to take, they couldn't even tell me! I'm not going to take something that even they don't know what it was being dispenced!

Anything else?

Treated well by some, awful by others. Very hit and miss.
