I was due to be admitted to have a gall baldder operation this Monday on 28th June 2010, I recieved a phone call this morning(wed 23rdjune 2010) saying that my operation has been cancelled. I feel let down and that I have not been treated with any real care as my family has arranged time off and leave to look after me when i come home, I also work fulltime and my firm has arranged cover for my job so i feel that i have messed them about. I also feel it is such a waste of money as i had my pre op consultation with the Sister for my ward for my operation and also had my final blood tests done yesterday what a waste of money as these will have to be repeated before i go in on the 19th July 2010, my new date although that is not guarnteed! This operation has been booked from 22nd April 2010 so i feel very let down and annoyed about the late notice of the cancellation of this and feel that you should be able to get booked in sooner than 3 weeks away!
