"The hospital was very clean, well ..."

What I liked

The hospital was very clean, well organised and with staff who clearly cared about what they were doing. Food was good. A and E didn't have the "Wild West" feel that I have seen in a number of other hospitals! The other ward I stayed in (Forrest) was civilised and well run. Treatment decisions were made with my full, appropriate involvement and attitude of all staff was professional and caring.

What could be improved

The occasional delay on some of the scans needed etc. but that is a fact of life (other patients might have been higher priority for good reasons, so no real worry on my side). Parking a nightmare at peak times.

Anything else?

I have never before had to stay in a hospital (this time was 3 days), although I have looked after a number of family members in the post-op phase or taken them to A and E and had a few outpatient appointments myself. In comparison to what I have seen elsewhere (in other good, well regarded hospitals), Torbay impressed greatly. Well done and thank you all!
