About: benenden hospital

What I liked

i asked to be seen at benenden hospital as an nhs choice patient for a second opinion. i had been suffering terribly with my monthly period, including violent episodes of vomiting. my local hospital told me i had fibriods and there was nothing much they could do.

i was given an appointment at benenden for around 3 months time, but on contacting the hospital to see if it could be brought sooner, i was given an appointment for the following week!

i was seen by the consultant, who initially reccomended a course of treatment and follow up appointment. the treatment had helped, but on my next visit he reccomended an investigation to rule out endometriosis, this was planned for two weeks time! i was fortunate to be able to see the pre assesment clinic on this day also.

i now have a diagnosis, and may require further surgery.

all the staff were cheerful yet professional and treated me with respect throughout. i was fairly nervous about having the procedure, but was set at ease from all members of staff.

car park was small and could be difficult to park at peak times, but it was also free!!

staff canteen offered fair choice of food and the grounds are lovely

What could be improved

nothing
