What I liked

I recently visited the hospital as a patient for one day. I was very impressed by the level of care given to me during my stay. I was told on a previous occasion what the operation would entail, I was told the operation could be done under a local anasthetic for varicose viens. I was therefore sightly suprised to find I was being given a general anastheic.

What could be improved

I would have liked to have some more company and reassurance, during my visit as I do not have a partner. I found it a rather emotional day at the hospital before and after my operation.

Anything else?

I was very pleased to hear a familiar voice when it was time to leave the hospital. I would like to thank a certain person for the care she gave me whilst I was in the Day Case Unit. And also the the nurse for providing the wheelchair so that I didn't have to struggle to leave the hospital.
