"Great recovery after knee surgery at Birmingham Royal"

i had a oxford partial knee replacement on oct 1st 2007 and after 3 months i am able to do anything i like except kneel on it.

following surgery i had pain for about 1 week and after that it was great. As the swelling went down i got more and more range of movement and now after 14 weeks i can bend it the same as my other knee.

the staff at birmingham royal were great and made my stay very comfortable.

a lot of my success is down to being a younger patient at 41 but it was really well worth having and i am completely pain free and enjoying daily exercise as i did before.
