What I liked
My elderly mother was a patient in the Nicol Unit in the last months of her life. Her treatment was exemplary. The staff were friendly, supportive, endlessly patient and treated my mother with compassion and dignity. Sadly this has not been my experience in other NHS hospitals in the area. The Nicol Unit was a haven of person-centred professionalism.
What could be improved
It seems a shame to have to pay to park.
Anything else?
The Nicol Unit is an excellent example of patients being treated as individuals because of the close connection with their GPs. This unit restored my faith in NHS care.
