"The Danube Ward was well staffed ..."

What I liked

The Danube Ward was well staffed and managed, the Ward nurses were caring, intelligent and engaging,

The Ganges Ward was and STILL is APPALLING. My husband's mental health is deteriorating as a result of the terrible care, and total absence of sympathetic nursing. He is getting worse every day. No one talks to him. He is ignored constantly (I have witnessed this with him and other patiends) I am also ignored. We have no information on when he may begin medication or what care is going to be offered. When in a severly agitated state he waited 12 hours to see a doctor. The majority of the staff are very rude and unfriendly, in some cases slightly threatening. Frequently staff do not know his name, or get his name wrong. Staff regurlarly loose his property or refuse to charge his phone for him (they keep his phone charger). I now bring it in to charge for him. He goes for entire days with out a member of staff talking to him. The ward is an utter disgrace and is totally failing him. There was an instance on Friday 5th February when a staff member started crying saying she thought she 'had lost' him and had been looking for him for an hour. He had been in his room the entire time, and she had seen him just 15 mins prior to that.

What could be improved

On the Ganges Ward - everything needs to be improved. It is a horror, everything you dread about a mental health ward.
