"A bad experience of labour at leeds general infirmary"

i was 40 weeks +2 days pregnant when i went into labour in October 2007. My baby was still moving at this point, when i got into the ambulance all the paramedic did was check my blood pressure the he sat on the bed with his feet up and talked about his baby all the way there, no blue lights, nothing.

By the time i got to hospital the midwife didn't think she could find a heartbeat, she said that she had to get a doctor to confirm it. The doctor finally turned up over an hour later to confirm it and told me that i'd have to give birth naturally. I had my waters broken at 12.45pm and told to have a walk outside to bring it on but i decided to have a bath instead.

As i got in i felt the urge to push so my sister fetched the midwife. I told her the baby was coming, she dismissed it as pressure she was more bothered about getting blood from me. By the time she finally did take a look it was too late, my baby girl fell to the floor.

It was like all my nightmares had come at once. I will never forgive the Leeds General Infirmary, and my next child definitely won't be born there.
