"Compliments and gratitude"

To All at Sunderland Royal Hospital,

My wife and I would like to sincerely offer our thanks and gratitude to all the NHS staff who looked after my mother, Anne (aged 86), who was admitted into the care of Sunderland Royal, on Sunday 23 April.

From Reception and admission to Ward D40 and then to Ward E52, we encountered nothing but the most solicitous and professional attention throughout.

My wife, a retired Ward Sister, was most impressed with the procedures carried out with every courtesy and efficiency by the Nurse Practitioner, Staff Nurses, doctors and auxiliary workers, right through to discharge.
