"Excellent care"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

While we were visiting Morpeth my wife suffered a fall and we were advised to go to A&E at this hospital. She was seen within 20 or 30 minutes by a nurse practitioner who quickly arranged an x-ray. A broken collarbone was diagnosed, the correct sling fitted, and all the paperwork produced for presentation to our hospital at home.

In addition to the professionalism of the staff, we were struck by their kindness, sympathy and cheerfulness, which makes a distressing mishap so much more bearable.

Wannsbeck is a lovely hospital, bright and cheerful, immaculately clean, with first-class and caring staff, and we were and are enormously grateful to all those that we came into contact with.

NHS at its very best. Thank you to all.
